Police Report of KATE KELLY, 21 April 1834

KATE KELLY, who had been assigned to her master the amazing time of four days, was called upon to show cause why she was in the habit of using insolent remarks, &c.

KATE—Your Worship I only went out to procure some butter milk, of which I’m very fond, and when I returned I found a constable, who marched me away.

Bench—No doubt you deserved it, and from your bad character you are sentenced to the third class of the factory for two months.
